LARP — Community Guidelines & Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
Effective date: August 18, 2026
LARP is a community of Owners (who list high-end cars as photo/video subjects) and Creators (who book them for shoots). These Guidelines keep everyone safe and the marketplace trustworthy. They apply to all Users, everywhere on LARP — Listings, photos, messages, reviews, and in-person Sessions. Breaking them can cost you your account. They incorporate, and don't replace, the Terms of Service, Nondiscrimination Policy, and Content & Releases Policy.
1. The four golden rules
- No driving — ever. A LARP Session is a stationary shoot. (See §2.)
- Be honest. Accurate Listings, real photos, truthful reviews, no fake accounts.
- Be respectful. No harassment, hate, discrimination, threats, or unwanted contact.
- Be safe. Put people's safety first, on-set and on-platform.
2. The no-drive rule (restated for everyone)
This is the heart of LARP. On every Session:
- The Creator and their guests do not drive, move, start (to drive), tow, or operate the Car, do not sit in the driver's seat to operate it, and do not take the keys or possession/control of the Car.
- The Owner stays present the whole time and keeps the keys and control.
- The Car stays parked at the agreed location and is used as a photo/video subject only.
Trying to drive or move the Car — or pressuring an Owner to let you — is a serious violation that can end the Session immediately and get you removed.
3. On-set conduct & safety
- Follow the Owner's reasonable instructions about the Car and the location.
- Handle the Car only as the Owner allows (e.g., leaning/posing if permitted). Don't sit in, climb on, or enter the Car except as the Owner expressly permits, and never to operate it.
- Keep the set safe: mind cables, lighting, props, and bystanders; don't block exits; control your crew, talent, and guests.
- No dangerous activity around the Car: no pyrotechnics, smoke, fire, firearms, drones, or stunts without the Owner's permission, the proper permits, and appropriate safety measures and insurance (the Creator/production's responsibility — see the Content & Releases Policy).
- No impairment: don't show up under the influence in a way that endangers people or the Car.
- Respect the location and neighbors; keep the shoot at the agreed location.
4. Prohibited uses
You may not use LARP, a Car, or a Session to:
- Drive, move, or operate any Car, or attempt to (the cardinal rule).
- Do anything illegal, or create content that is illegal, or use the Car/location to facilitate a crime.
- Endanger people or property, or perform unsafe stunts/effects without permits, safety measures, and insurance.
- Shoot on public streets, sidewalks, or parks without the required film/photo permits and insurance (Creator/production's responsibility — see the Content & Releases Policy).
- Harass, threaten, stalk, dox, or discriminate against anyone (see Nondiscrimination Policy).
- Produce or post content that is non-consensual, sexually exploitative, involves minors inappropriately, is hateful, defamatory, or infringes anyone's rights (IP, privacy, publicity).
- Misrepresent yourself, your shoot, a Car, or your authority to list it; create fake accounts, reviews, or bookings.
- Circumvent the platform — taking payment or coordination off-platform, soliciting users away from LARP, or evading fees, verification, or a ban.
- Defraud anyone, including payment fraud or chargeback abuse.
- Scrape, hack, or disrupt the Services, or misuse other users' data (including the revealed meeting location).
- Use a Car in any way that violates the Owner's instructions, the law, or these Guidelines.
5. Content rules
Listings, photos, messages, and reviews must be your own (or properly licensed), accurate, and lawful. Don't post content that is infringing, deceptive, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, violent, private to someone else, or otherwise prohibited above. Creators/producers are responsible for the releases, clearances, and permits behind their Session Content — see the Content & Releases Policy. Copyright complaints are handled under the DMCA process in that policy.
6. Reporting, blocking, and moderation
We rely on the community to keep LARP safe, and we give you tools to do it:
- Report / flag. You can report any Listing or user from within the app. Tell us what's wrong.
- Block. You can block another user to stop further contact.
- Filter. We use automated and manual measures to filter objectionable content.
- We act. Our team reviews reports and takes action — including removing content and removing offending users — within 24 hours of receiving a report.
- Contact us. Reach our team at admin@larp.global.
7. Consequences
Depending on severity, we may: warn you; remove or hide content; cancel a Session or booking; limit features; suspend or permanently ban your account; withhold payouts pending a dispute; pursue indemnification; and report illegal activity to authorities. Repeated negative reviews may lead to suspension or removal after review by our team. Decisions about safety, fraud, and serious violations may be immediate. Circumventing a ban (e.g., a new account) is itself a violation.
We try to be fair and may offer a way to appeal by contacting admin@larp.global, but we are not obligated to reinstate any account.
8. How to report an urgent safety issue
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. Then report it to us at admin@larp.global so we can act.
