LARP — Fees & Pricing Policy

This policy explains what Creators pay, how prices are set and displayed, and how Owners are paid. It's part of the Terms of Service; the refundable security deposit is covered in detail in the Damage, Holds & Disputes Policy. All payments are processed by Stripe; your payment settles into LARP's Stripe account, from which the Owner's share is paid to the Owner and your refundable deposit is returned to you — see ToS §7.2.
1. What a Creator pays
When you book a Session you pay one all-in price. The price shown on the listing and at checkout is the total for the Session — LARP's platform fee and payment-processing costs are already included in it. If a location or travel fee applies to your booking, it is shown as its own line item before you pay, and government taxes (where applicable) may also be shown separately.
Session prices are set by LARP server-side for each vehicle, based on a per-vehicle day rate; Owners and Creators cannot change the price of a booking in the app. The minimum session price is $180. What you see before you pay is what you pay — there are no surprise fees added at checkout.
2. The refundable security deposit is not a fee
Separately from the session price, a refundable security deposit of 2× the session price — no less than $200 and no more than $2,000 — is charged to your card together with the session payment when you book. It is a charge, not a temporary authorization — the money leaves your account and comes back as a refund, so you need available funds for both amounts at booking. The deposit is refunded automatically after the Session completes, unless the Owner opens a damage claim before the refund is issued — in that case the refund is paused until the claim resolves. See the Damage, Holds & Disputes Policy. We disclose the deposit clearly before you book.
3. How Owners are paid
Session prices are set by LARP for each vehicle; Owners do not set their own session prices. Owners are paid through Stripe Connect: payouts are initiated after the Session completes, and Stripe settles them on its regular payout schedule (daily, with an approximately two-day settlement delay). LARP's platform fee is included in the all-in price Creators pay.
4. Taxes
Prices exclude government taxes unless stated. Where a "marketplace facilitator" tax law applies, LARP may calculate, collect, and remit certain transaction taxes and show them at checkout. Owners are responsible for their own income taxes and may receive a Form 1099-K from the Payment Processor based on processed volume. See the Terms of Service.
5. Other charges
- Cancellations & refunds follow the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
- Payment methods. LARP accepts payment only through Stripe — the cards and wallets Stripe supports.
- Nothing else. LARP has no subscriptions, no premium paid placements, and no shipping charges, and LARP provides no insurance. If optional paid services are ever introduced, they will have their own terms and their price will be shown before you pay.
6. Changes
We may update fees and this policy with notice; the version in effect when you book governs that booking. We'll post the new "Last updated" date.
